About cherrygorgeous

How it all started

How it all started

Cherrygorgeous' founder Dee would say that it all began on a beach in Southern India with a proposal of marriage! But then she is just an old-fashioned romantic!
But it really started back in the UK. With all the vivid colours and richness of Asia still in her head, Dee found that all wedding stationery and wedding invites in the UK were a little bit dull. Now she understood why all her friends (and friends of friends) had asked her to design their wedding stationery. She decided not to go back to her job as a graphic designer in London, and she set up cherrygorgeous instead.

Our Style

About our style

The plan was to bring a little more beauty, style and fun into wedding stationery designs. So cherrygorgeous was born: an innovative business that prides itself on providing you with beautiful wedding stationery that reflects how you choose to live your life. Our emphasis is on style, individuality and creating a bit of character that will blow away the old clichéd concepts of what wedding stationery should look like… because when we fall in love and want our dream wedding it doesn't mean its time to ditch our own style.

Baby Stationery

About cherrygorgeous baby stationery

Cherrygorgeous baby stationery started when a few of the customers we had designed wedding stationery for started having kids. First there was Jack in Southsea. Then little Holly over in Chepstow. Well, one newborn lead to another and we decided to create a range of baby announcement cards.

Our people

Dee

Dee’s the boss. She decided to start an eco-chic wedding stationery business after quitting her job as an art director and graphic designer in London and heading off traveling around Asia with Rob for six months. She looks after all the design work, creates all the new stationery designs and works with our couples to make sure they get exactly the right wedding stationery for their big day.

1: What's your favourite cherrygorgeous design?
I love the owl family on the baby stationery design, probably because we have painted it on the wall of our little boy’s nursery!

2: Where's the best place you've ever been?
Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The place was so amazing that when we walked through the gates at sunrise it made the hairs on my neck tingle. A bit closer to home, I love any country pub that does a really good veggie Sunday roast.

3: What would you have on your dream wedding menu?
I would have a big veggie Mediterranean style buffet with lots of different dishes that everyone can choose from. And maybe a big organic BBQ for those pesky meat eaters! Followed by lots of tea and cakes.

Katherine

Katherine

Katherine is the fuel that keeps cherrygorgeous running efficiently. Without her we would all be a bit lost and probably not know where the stapler was. As well as working at cherrygorgeous, she’s training to be an osteopath, which means we get the odd massage when we’re busy!

1: What's your favourite cherrygorgeous wedding stationery design?
The Tigerlilly has always been a favourite: the simple design is nice and fresh. However, the new designs are fab especially the Antique Bird Cage.

2: Where's the best place you've ever been?
There are so many amazing places but highlights have got to be visiting the Taj Mahal and relaxing on the beaches in Thailand.

3: What would you have on your dream wedding menu?
We have so many mouth watering menus come through the office this changes from week to week as long as there is a pimms reception and free flowing prosecco.

Rob

Rob

Rob is a writer. In fact he’s writing this and finding it rather weird referring to himself in the 3rd person. So… I’m Dee’s husband and when I’m not writing websites for other people, I help out with the website, do a bit of marketing stuff and even the odd wedding stationery order up to the post office.

1: What's your favourite cherrygorgeous wedding stationery design?
I like the summer loving wedding invites. Dee designed ‘em after we got back from traveling around India and South East Asia. And it always reminds me of proposing on the beach at Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu.

2: Where's the best place you've ever been?
There’s a temple town about day away from Mamallapuram called Madurai. I got up one morning after a huge thunderstorm and went and sat down by the lotus pond in the main temple complex. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and the place was full of people going about their daily devotions. That was a pretty special place.

3: What would you have on your dream wedding menu?
I’d have a big BBQ in a field somewhere, with a hog roast just to annoy Dee and her veggie friends! Loads of good red wine, a few barrels of local beer and eton mess for desert.

Mollie

Mollie

Mollie is the office dog. She is a very good at guarding the office, as long as your idea of guarding is running up to strangers with her tail wagging, then rolling onto her back to get her stomach rubbed!

She has a bit of an obsession with licking your elbows while you’re working too. She’s a bit of an attention seeker!

1: What's your favourite cherrygorgeous wedding stationery design?
I really like the baby stationery card with the chickens on it. I like chickens, but not as much as I like rabbits!

2: Where's the best place you've ever been?
I like anywhere I can be let to run off my lead and chase rabbits, although I am not really sure what I would do if I ever caught one! Maybe invite it for tea!

3: What would you have on your dream wedding menu?
I haven’t really thought about getting married, although I do quite fancy the poodle from next door. I think we would have rabbit stew with doggy choc treat for afters!
