General Wedding Stationery Questions
How many wedding invitations will I need?
Remember you don't need one wedding invitation per person, as one per household can include partners and families. For a wedding of 100 people, 60 invites should be sufficient. But remember to have a few spare in case of forgotten relatives, upgraded invitees and mistakes when writing names.
For the wedding order of service, most people like to have one for each couple and one for each single invitee. You will also need one order of service for each of the bridal party - bridesmaids, pageboys, ushers, bride and groom. And people do like to take them away as souvenirs of the big day, so remember to have a few spare for yourself.
When do we send out the wedding invites?
Most people send their wedding invites out 2 or 3 months before the big day but definitely no later than 6 weeks. People often get booked up for weekends in the busy summer months and a save the date card is an ideal way of making sure that everyone you want is at your wedding.
What about the wording inside the wedding invites and order of services?
The wording inside the wedding invitations is a very personal choice and is entirely up to you. Normally the person who is paying for the wedding will be the one inviting the guests ‚ this is traditionally the bride's parents. However, if contributions are coming from both sets of parents, you may want to include them both as hosts or be host yourselves. Civil Ceremonies may have a less traditional form of wording but again this is up to you.

The Order of Service outlines your wedding ceremony. On the front cover it details who is getting married, where and at what time. On the inside front cover you can mention who is conducting the ceremony (the reverend, priest, minister, registrar, rabbi etc.) the bridesmaids and best man, the choir and maybe who did the church flowers (if appropriate)
Then follows the order of the service, including words to hymns, readings, and music. This usually takes up four pages. Extra costs may be incurred for order of services over this length.
Do I need permission to reprint the words of Hymns?
Yes, there are a selection of hymns, which are still under copyright and will require permission and even a possible fee (between £10-£25) for the hymn to be printed. This fee should be paid direct to the copyright owners by you. However, some Churches do hold a Church Copyright Licence and the fees may be waived on some Hymns. Also due to the age of some hymns the copyright doesn't exist anymore.
It is best to show a draft copy of the order of service to the vicar/priest/registrar before the wedding so they can confirm you have the correct wording and give you advice on any copyright permission needed.
What information do I need to put on my wedding invitations?
Remember your guests need to know a bit more information than the date and time of the wedding so remember to include the following information with your invites:
1. Directions and Maps - Remember some people may be travelling from out of town so a map to both the church and the reception venue would be useful.
2. Accommodation Details - If your reception is at a hotel then guests can obviously stay there, but if the accommodation is small, alternatives would be useful. And remember to think of all budgets.
3. Gift List Information - Choosing a wedding gift can be tricky, so wedding lists ensure you don't end up with too many toasters! A discreet mention of where and how they can access your gift lift is ideal.
We can provide a wedding information card for inside your invites with all this information printed on it. It is 13 cm x 13 cm so it fits nicely inside your invites and is printed double sided. We can also draw maps of how to get to your location if necessary, email us to find out more.
4. RSVP Card - This will ensure that you get prompt replies that will help you get on with planning the rest of your wedding.
Questions about Our Services
Do we need envelopes?
No, all the save the date cards, wedding invites, evening invites and thank-you cards come with envelopes, which are included in the price. The envelopes are plain white, non-opaque envelopes with a peel and seal opening, because the last thing you want to do when writing your invites is to have to lick all the envelopes yourself. The RSVP cards are in a postcard format and therefore do not require envelopes.
Can we get samples of the wedding invites?
Yes, of course we do after all we all like to try before we buy! We send out two wedding invite samples per wedding free of charge. And it is so simple just click on the “we love this one’ button to request a sample. If you want more that two samples (and I know sometimes its hard to be decisive) the extra samples will be charged at £2.95 each, contact us for more details.

Can we change the colour of the designs?
Of course! It's your wedding and you should have everything exactly as you want it. And it’s a great way of personalising your stationery without having a complete tailor-made service. If you have a specific colour scheme just send us a fabric or colour swatch and we will get an exact match for you. Colour changes to the design of the stationery will incur a £30 design fee per colour, this includes a printed proof so you can just double-check the colours before all your stationery is printed.

Can we add a photo of us to the invites?
Of Course. We like the idea of your invites being personalised and think a picture of the happy couple on the inside cover is a great way to do this. If you provide the photo digitally we don’t charge for this service. But if you want the photo made black and white or scanned in from an actual photograph there will be a charge for this service. Contact us for more details.

Week 1: You send us your order and within one working week we will email your electronic wedding stationery drafts.
Week 2: You read through the drafts of your wedding stationery. Please don’t rush this it is very important that the final drafts of your wedding designs are 100% correct. If necessary email us any changes and we will re-send you further proofs to check.
Week 3: When you are 100% happy with your wedding stationery, send it back to us and the wedding stationery will be sent to print.

Therefore once an order has been placed only a 50% refund will be possible, which will cover the work that has already been undertaken on your order. Unfortunately, once the proofs have been signed off and approved a refund will no longer be possible as the cards will be in process of being printed.
How are our chosen designs sent to us?
We will email you draft copies of your wedding designs as a pdf document, which you can then check at your leisure. This is the quickest and most efficient way for you to receive your designs. It also helps keeps costs down and cuts out paper wastage. You will need Adobe Reader to view your designs. If you do not have it click here to get a free copy.
As colours on computer screens can differ slightly from printed colours it is always best to ask for a free sample first. After all it gives peace of mind all round.

We pride ourselves on our secure packaging, after all it contains your wedding stationery and we don't want anything to happen to it. Postage and packaging is £10.00 for orders for up to 50 items and £15 for orders of 50 items and over.
